Interesting Insects! Project Page
In Science, we have been studying insects and their life cycles, specifically focusing on painted lady butterflies in class and observing their various stages in life. We also visited The Butterfly Place to further add to our knowledge!
Instead of our typical reading log and math sheets, please use the next few weeks to help your child complete their insect project. They will need to select an insect that interests them, research some basic information about its life cycle and other facts, and also build a model of that insect. Please be creative with the models! They do not have to be the correct size or 100% life-like! The model must include the three main body parts (head, thorax, abdomen), antennae, and six legs, but however you and your child choose to represent that is up to you!
All parts of the project are due by Friday June 22! We look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Attached below, you will find a electronic version of our Project Guidelines and report if you need to download an additional copy!
